[ It's been a week and change since port, since Theo's valiant attempt to escape. It's been even more since Rhys let some wardens know about those plans in hopes to win some measure of favor. It's time to see if that paid off outside the obvious.
So here he is! At the base of Williams pod (given he's taken a top bunk at all) holding two cups of coffee from the mess hall. He takes a deep breath, straightening up and putting on what he hopes is an approachable expression.]
[ There's some shuffling inside the pod—putting a newly purchased notebook away, reorienting himself—and then William's head emerges. He looks: sleepily puzzled, then irritated, then like an irritated person trying not to look irritated.
His gaze falls on the matching cups of coffee. He suppresses a sigh. ] Don't do this.
[ That is...not the reaction he was aiming for. But it's also not the worst reaction he could have gotten, so that's a plus. Rhys looks between the cups of coffee in his hands, then back up to William. ]
